Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrade of your items. This allows you to upgrade your gear without having depend on costly trades or drops. This article will teach you how to upgrade your gear effectively.

Upgrades in equipment can add an additional bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor better. They can be found through destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in item-spheres. Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item, however, they can also be used for other purposes.
