The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum bagless robot vacuum from iRobot, and it isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot cleaner amazon vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labels of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the best automatic vacuum in the industry, but it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do a really good job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable robot vacuum and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
