Path of Exile Item Upgrading

Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment using new accessories. They can also improve its base stats or add additional benefits. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory, and also access the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, such as rings can be upgraded to stronger bases. Items with bases that are strong, such as the Titans of eth have little change in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. They provide an attribute benefit, or additional effect, when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, gathered in loot, thrown away by enemies, or obtained as a reward from missions or chests. Some upgrades additionally have special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before you can upgrade.

In order to upgrade the quality of a weapon or piece armor, the user must select it and then click on the Upgrade button on the toolbar. The screen will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview of the expected upgrade stats as well as the required component or materials.

There are three kinds: universal upgrades (which include gems) prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which are made up of gems, are able to be used in any kind of equipment, and offer lower bonuses than upgrade components that are type-restricted. Infusions are jewels that can only be used in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They provide the same bonuses as jewels, but cannot be used with any other equipment. If an individual upgrades a gathering tool, and replaces glyphs with another glyph, the old one will be returned to their inventory. If you replace another upgrade component, it will be destroyed, except for the inscriptions, which can be freely swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process is different from previous versions in some fundamental ways. Gear is now categorized in tracks, and each item can only be upgraded as many times before it is "leveled out." The cost of upgrading increases with each level, but the materials required for upgrades do not. This allows players to focus their efforts on a specific few items and maximize the effect of those items, rather than spreading upgrade costs over multiple pieces.

This will enable the item upgrades to receive upgraded components and a higher chance of success. This bonus is referred to as the Artisan's Energy, and it will reset to zero after failure or increases if the upgrade succeeds.

When a piece is upgraded to its highest level, it will be able to receive the affixes needed to enhance its abilities. The number of affixes available will depend on the item's kind. For example an uncommon or unique weapon with a standard base will have only two affixes, whereas a legend armor will have eight affixes.

Each upgrade will require an amount of Flightstones and crests, depending on the item upgrader kit's current level and the item slot it's in. Typically, weapons will require more Flightstones to upgrade than other types of equipment.

If an item fails to get to its maximum level the NPC will offer players the option to transfer it to another person and then re-infuse the item with an upgrade set that is different. This process can take between one and two hours and cost the same amount of material. However it has a lower chance of success.

To measure the height of a structure engineers utilize a level to compare the measurement to an established reference point, such as a benchmark or the ground's elevation. This method is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the level and backsight rod, then turning the level and making the foresight rod reading. Rerolling

Rerolling is the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is an important aspect of the game and can drastically enhance an item's strength or damage, as well as other attributes. For instance the No-mouth Face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials, 250 Enchanted Dust, and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also look up the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.

In general, armor and weapons have a higher trade value when fully updated. Particularly, for weapons that feature damage glyphs that are spell-like or weapon-related upgrading them to gold is recommended since it will result in a significant increase in their power. This will also increase the defense value of armor that has an updated look.
