The code will not appear without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
Testing is a bit tricky because there are two connector pins and they have different functions however the best method of testing it is to measure the resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is operational, it should read approximately 1000 ohms. If you are having problems with this part, check for evidence of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at maximum speed, i noticed a huge reduction in power. It was as if the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, three were drenched in gasoline and the fourth was unclean. When I start the engine with no sparks i put tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stays closed. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I get 0ohm. I think the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car will start if the G28 is unplugged and it runs perfectly when it is plugged in however it has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when unplugged, still shows a temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars while the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not sure what to do. I believe that I've eliminated everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor.
