WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item upgrades slot, and the current Best item upgrader level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader kit upgrader at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain item level upgrade level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is true even if the items are from a different set of equipment.

Crests

Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. They can use Flightstones that are a general upgrade currency available to all players, or crests that are more specialized and are consumed during upgrades at specific levels of items. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be spent on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's Best item upgrader to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
