Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time, without having to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.

The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot vacuums that mop to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot cleaner crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous features that make it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It will also tell you whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available and comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
