The best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are pluses.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our top choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacle avoidance technology and is therefore prone to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tight spaces very efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

Still, it's very good, especially if you want to save money on a Roomba from iRobot and have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also extremely quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into an elegant, compact package. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as fluid navigation make it simple to clean, and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with self-emptying dustbins, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that appears like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes This robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. iRobot's latest flagship model also is among the most intelligent model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. Similar to Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take the care of mopping and vacuuming, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to create floorplans and identify obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite 100% foolproof during our tests and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its automatic vacuum cleaner and mop has a high maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on how dirty they tend to be.

If you have a bigger home, you should consider selecting a robot vacuum cleaners reviews that comes with spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned by using the app or voice command. If you have furniture, a stair mode is also useful. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off could be extremely useful.

It's self-sufficient too, with a full-featured app and an auto-emptying washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you set on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, arrange the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritize your most filthy rooms to ensure better performance. The app also gives access to a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it can get to corners and underneath furniture better. It is equipped with a powerful 8000 Pascal suction and sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. And you can set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.
