Bedside Crib and Travel Cot

Bedside cribs are a cot with a bassinet style that is attached to the side of your bed. They typically have a single side that can be dropped down for easy access and some even have an incline that's ideal for babies with reflux.

MFM tester Georgina said that the crib was easy to assemble, and the instructions were extremely simple. It was a fast build. It folds up into an extremely compact size and comes with a handy travel bag.

Easy to put together

There's also an integrated reflux setting, and a 360-degree swivel to allow you to turn the crib in accordance with the position your baby prefers.

If you're looking for something smaller Tutti Bambini CoZee comes with oak legs that come with a range of fabric options that will match your decor. It's also incredibly easy to put together. Georgina who took part in the MFM test was capable of putting it together quickly, without needing to consult any instructions. It's also a fantastic travel cot. It folds flat and can be popped into bags.

The Next2me Magic, which was shortlisted for the Best Cot, Crib or Moses Basket at the 2021 Mother&Baby Awards, is also slightly larger than the average, however it is still compact and easy to attach to your bed. Georgina also found it easy to set up, though she felt the instructions could have been more clear about the zips.

Easy to clean

If you're considering travel cots or bedside cribs make sure they come with a mattress cover that is machine-washable. This will keep it clean and free of dribbles, leaky diapers, and spit-up. It's important to select a model that can be disassembled and partially dismantled, so that you can access all the corners and crevices for an extensive cleaning and sanitising.
