The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however this is something that you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and effectively. This results in an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surfaces. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch on a child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
