The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It is smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module which includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best robotic mop and vacuum feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to indicated when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that serves as a charging base for the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning job, recall the robot, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
