UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time, the handles on your doors will wear down and will require replacement. It is essential to keep the same dimensions as the old handles when replacing them.

The top screw's location, the lever and the keyhole dimensions are the three measurements you have to determine. Refer to the size guide for assistance in this.

Inline Lever/Lever

A lever/lever door handle is a modern handle that can be put in on doors that are new or replacement. This style of door handle is available in a wide range of styles and finishes. A number of manufacturers offer this handle, including Avocet ERA, Fullex, Hoppe, Mila, Millenco & Yale.

The uPVC/Composite door handles are made of robust materials and are suitable for multi-point lock doors that require a strong design. The handles are inline and run with the same spindle as well as screw fixings so they can be easily fitted to doors made of uPVC/Composite, either new or old.

The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be positioned and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles, which will ensure the quality of the finish as well as the performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever is also adjustable to accommodate a wide range of locks. This is particularly useful for doors with narrower openings where the cylinder is situated further away from the door. Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle differs from the lever handles commonly found on doors. These handles can use a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two offset or inline spindles (pad). They are typically used on UPVC double-glazed doors and are available in a variety of variations and finishes.

The handles have been tested to the minimum of 200k cycles and are available in a variety of finishes including White Silver, Chrome, & Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to corrosion. This gives the handle the best performance and durability for the purpose it was designed for.

All UPVC handle lever pads include a spindle and screws and can be mounted on the uPVC door. The 211mm backplate fixation centres permit a larger handle, which is often an advantage when replacing a damaged or old multi-point door lock mechanism. The levers for these handles have a spring, which solves the problem of door handles that move out of horizontal position when not in use.

For instance, exterior doors should be fitted with a more secure cylinder whilst internal doors can be secured using a standard cylinder. In addition, some cylinders have extra features that increase security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump features.

A euro cylinder needs to be properly measured to ensure that it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder must be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, in the event that one is present. It is best to do this while the lock is in place however when this isn't feasible, you can take it off and take it off to measure. These spring cassettes are specially designed to be used with multipoint locks that are sprung They will not work with unsprung multipoint handles and you will need to have a bespoke hole cut into your backplate to allow these to fit (please check the image for a technical diagram).
